In the field of battery chemistry, LFP stands for Lithium Iron Phosphate. This is a type of lithium-based battery that uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) as the cathode material. This chemical composition offers several advantages over other chemistries, including heightened safety and longevity.

While the history and extensive publicity of auto battery fires has generated concern over the safety of lithium-ion batteries, there is no relationship between the battery for motor vehicles, and the batteries for telecommunications and energy storage integrated by our Veterans. To put a fine point on it, LFP is such a safe composition that one could literally shoot our battery with a machine gun – without generating a fire.

An added safety feature of our batteries is a built-in sensor and monitoring system, which ties into our AI system and enables the technology to preemptively shut the battery off if there is a deviation from the norm and alert management.

By way of comparison, Tesla employs a much more aggressive, older chemical compound in its batteries.
